West Village Contractors are the only contractors we have worked with over the years who have integrity and take great pride in their work…a lost art for the most part — but not with these guys. The first time we worked with them, they came in after a flood and redid the entire ceiling (and living area) which is quite a feat considering our ceiling is a piece of art in itself (with sharp angles and lines jutting out to delineate the dining area). Their precision was astounding and it ended up looking cleaner and of higher quality than the first time around.

We used them again to replace the cabinets in our kitchen. They made sure every detail was EXACTLY as we asked — and we are quite picky to say the least. Our loft is a modern space featured in Dwell Magazine – and we worry that contractors won’t respect that we really care about each and every detail that the architect created. It might seem silly to some, but to us — our apt is a part of who we are — and the fact that West Village respects that means we would never use anyone else.

Every day the team left our apt. completely clean — always making sure everything was covered correctly and that they didn’t damage anything while working. If there was anything a hair out of place, they fixed it. They were polite and professional. You can’t get better than West Village.

James and his team are simply the best contractors I have ever encountered. Period. They did a major renovation on our apartment, which was subsequently featured on a Dwell home tour, and in New York Magazine’s “Design Hunting.” Their craftsmanship is top notch. But what really distinguishes them is their integrity. They do what they say they are going to do. On time. On budget. Plus they treat your house like a home, not like a construction site. They are careful to protect everything to the nth degree, and also clean everything up every night. If you want the best, go with West Village.
